Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What are your professional fees? 

A: $75 per hour for Individual or Couple sessions and $100 for Family sessions (1 hour) session. 

 

Q: Do you do individual support?

A: Yes. Specific focus on self development, self acceptance, self-enrichment, codependency, career guidance, and finding a new direction in life are available in individual support sessions. 

 

Q: What is couples or partner counseling?

A: When a couple experiences imbalance in the relationship, or communication issues or cannot hurdle a values clash; it's time for support, prior to these becoming resentments, arguments or dirty fighting. 

 

Q: What is a support group? 

A: This is determined by the common need or problem a person is dealing with. Examples: Grief - loss of child, loss of spouse,  loss of family member. Support Groups can also be for Self Esteem, Parenting, Blended Families, Caregivers, Codependency, Depression and/or Anxiety Issues.  Groups vary from 1 to 2 hours, which depends mostly on the type of group and size of the group.

 

Q: Why does a Grief Recovery Method Group cost more?

A: Grief Recovery Method Groups are 2 hours of a specific format, which includes exercises that take longer to process. Processing individually, then in a small group, then in the large group takes a lot more time.    

 

Q: What is a support group fee?

A: Group fees are $30 per 1.5 hour session paid on a monthly basis for ongoing groups.  If the group is a  6, 8 or 12 week session with beginning and ending dates,  fees are paid in advance of the session beginning. Deposits: will reserve a seat.  The entire fee can be paid by Credit or Debit Card, Cash or Check.  

 

Q: How many are in a Support Group Session?

A: Group Support Sessions are small, no smaller than 4 and no larger than 10 persons. A free Consultation will be used to assess group appropriate candidates.  

 

Q: Do I accept Insurance?  

A: While I do not accept insurance as payment, I can provide you with a receipt to submit a claim to your insurance company. Many folks don't like being labeled with a diagnosis and prefer to pay cash, so that there is compete confidentiality.  I also consider sliding fee scale for seniors, single parents or low income.

 

Q: Do I charge a cancellation fee? 

A: Cancellation must be made 24 hours in advance to avoid a fee of $50  See Services Policy.
